I come from the area rest of the world refer to as Balkans. Most of the people here would object the geographics and semantics of that definition since Balkans is mainly used as negative term for something on the other side of civilization. Well it seems that we are not alone there!

One of the greatest bands ever (IMHO)
The group that evolved from synthpop, gave birth to post rock (Wikipedia: recognized as forerunners to the post-rock genre), made some of the most beautiful pieces of music and dissolved in peace, leaving behind an astonishing beauty that’ll last as long as there are brains behind ears.
