The webs I do
My aim in web design is to try to be visual, but as compatible as possible.
The pages on WWW (note the first two WW – “world wide”!) have to be designed and coded not for designer’s sake, but for the one who will be sitting in front of his screen, with different sizes, resolutions, font preferences etc.
Many wannabe designers try to force their ideas of design, based on their screen size, resolution or any other personal preferences – not a good practice at all, if you plan to publish a site, since very few will have the same settings or abilities.

I am strongly promoting CSS (cascading style sheets) instead of using tables for laying out pages. It is really awesome tool, once you get on the learning curve.

Also I would recommend modern web browsers, like Firefox or Opera (free to download and use), who, unlike Internet Explorer (who hasn’t been updated for years now – imagine!), displays pages correctly and gives you better web experience and usability.
Plenty of people use Internet Explorer (71% on my pages), just because they are lazy, or really do not have interest or are not aware of the fact that IE is very bad browser, and out of date. Imagine, if you could get a new (and excellent!) cd player-changer in your car for free, with plenty new features, but you choose to use the old one pre installed in the car, that forces you to manually load every cd you wish to use.

Give them a try, they are free and excellent!
css art
.::. cssart.net – valid collection
I am frenzy for web standards, especially for CSS, which is a fabulous tool, enabling almost absolute control over the web content.
Although there are many CSS galleries out there I wanted to provide a place for css artist who code their sites in accordance to w3c specifications and standards. There for cssart.net gallery is only for clean code – valid sites, just like this one.
Being a great supporter and user of Open Source, I placed this site on WordPress and used excellent K2 theme who alows high level of independence and is – valid!
Useful link: cssart.net
CssArt.net alows commenting and rating/voting for your favourite sites, please do not hesitate to express yourself, but have mercy and be objective to the people who put a lot of effort in order to obey web standards, something we all should consider.
CssArt.net is xhtml 1.0 strict! css valid – tableless and is working in all major web browsers (even in IE6)! Of course, I would recommend Firefox or Opera who are not only excellent browser but FREE as well.
media marketing
.::. mediamarketing – Promotion Agency Mostar
This is fourth version of .::. media-marketing site. The first one was launched back in 2001. was plain gibberish html with very little content, since the Agency just started then. The second one was pure Flash, launched early in 2oo3. but it didn’t last for long. Third version lasted for few years, first laid out with tables fixed width 800px, than transferred to xhtml 1 transitional, than to strict, than liberated from tables, than – completely redesigned and relaunched, after transferr to html 4 strict – liquid layout.
When redesigning the site, my main idea was to be as simple as possible, but also appealing to the visitor, there for, among other things, I even finished adding JavaScript and CSS change, for those who like to play with different colours.
My favorite, and original one is blue, but check red and gold as well. The following link will bring you to site map, not to the home page, you choose your language, or your link of interest and … you know what to do
Useful link: SITEMAP
Since I am restless, and never satisfied (isn’t than basic human nature?), probably this outfit will not last for long. I am rethinking in changing it back to fixed width, since this fluid 100% sometimes seems just too much.
www.mediamarketing.ba is html 4.01 strict! css valid – tableless and is working in all major web browsers! Of course, I would recommend Firefox or Opera who are not only excellent browser but FREE as well.
hepok
HEPOK Winery
This is a third version of HEPOK site, a fine traditional but modernized winery in West Herzegovina city Ljubuški. HEPOK, after modernization of cellar, launched their new wines in April 2006. and in February they launched barrique wines, for the first time in winery history.
I can give you an insider hint, tasted and tested the wine – and it’s really great, especially Cabernet Sauvignon and BLATINA – an autochthon variety. It is really a unique wine, haven’t seen such a colour with red wines so far. Now I know why people in Herzegovina calls red wine – black!
www.hepok.com is xhtml 1 strict, css valid – tableless! Browser friendly.
ljubuški
LJUBUŠKI page
Ljubuški is a small, but prosperous city in West Herzegovina. Number of my clients originates there. Since there are number of small businesses there, I’ve come up with an idea to create a web site which could hopefully become a Ljubuski portal, and offer a subdomain to the small businesses at affordable prices, together with e-mail addresses @ljubuski.info.
I’ve prepared a web page layout and am trying to fill it with contents – but since this is just one of my side projects – it is developing slowly, in accordance to the efforts I put into.
www.ljubuski.info is a XHTML 1 transitional, css valid, still waiting to be liberated from tableless
Trgocoop
Trgocoop d.d.
Trgocoop d.d. Ljubuski is one of the oldest trading companies in Ljubuski. Company has more than 50 retail objects and it’s new management started a huge reconstruction project, after a dozen of wasted years.
They renewed number of objects in Ljubuski, are planning development in Mostar, and other cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The web site is still considered as under construction, but the main layout and business is finished, I’ll just have to wait for few new objects to be finished.
www.trgocoop.com is valid html 4.01, css, tableless, 3 column liquid layout, design to show same information (both visual and conceptual) on any screen size, resolution, regardless the readers font preferences.
Vino Alpe Adria
VINO-ALPE-ADRIA members
Vino Alpe Adria is international wine business group. With center in Austrian Styria, it controls wineries in Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since their web site is just starting (see it!), I prepared a sub pages for HEPOK, as one of the MEMBER OF VINO-ALPE-ADRIA.
I also added Krainz, Vis and Budikovac, and famous Terra Gomeliz, where Hepok’s main enologist dipl.ing. Sebastian Lerchl wine making process originates. There are still large parts of text missing, since I first prepare layout, based on some materials I had, and now we will work on filling it with contents. Meanwhile, I will fill myself with wine content.
MEMBERS OF VAA are XHTML 1 strict, css valid, tableless..
